About
Hello, I’m Alan Curry, Intinnua’s principal therapist. Born and raised in the midlands of Ireland, I migrated with my wife and 2 children to South Australia in 2005, settling on the periphery of the picturesque Barossa Valley.
My extensive, professional background spans a career in the military, broadcast media, performing arts, education, and frontline humanitarian work with the UN and international NGOs in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. From these experiences I have developed an intuitive awareness and understanding of the diverse landscape of mental health struggles, including the marginalisation and isolation often encountered with experiences of trauma and emotional distress.
Central to my clinical practice is the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client with a strong emphasis on trust, confidentiality, empathy, and collaboration.
